She is dedicated to excellence in comprehensive dermatological care and her peers agree by consistently voting her “Main Line Top Doc” year after year. <br><br> Dr. Stanko specializes in laser therapy, cosmetic techniques and skin cancer surgery. She pursues the most advanced techniques and procedures, implementing the latest and most effective skin treatments for her patients. As a result she has treated thousands of loyal patients. <br><br> Dr. Stanko acquired her M.D. with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska, where she became a member of the National Medical Honor Society Alpha Omega Alpha. She served as Chief Resident in her last year of residency at Drexel University’s Department of Dermatology. She maintains an affiliation with Drexel University, volunteering to teach on their campus and regularly invites medical students and residents from Drexel—as well as other surrounding medical schools–to observe her work at our practice. Dr. Stanko is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and on staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Her memberships include: American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, and Philadelphia Dermatologic Society.

Lina Husienzad, MD, FAAD

Lina Husienzad, MD, FAAD

<img class="size-medium wp-image-4925 alignleft" src="/wp-content/uploads/Husienzad-600x600-1.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="300" />Dr. Lina Husienzad is a New Jersey native who graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Upon graduating medical school she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). <br><br> While at UPMC she served as a leader of the Cosmetics Committee, and spearheaded a multitude of workshops for residents training in cosmetic procedures. She also participated in research projects during residency and wrote multiple chapters for a cutaneous lymphoma textbook, which she coauthored with the director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program at UPMC. <br><br> She thrives in leadership roles, particularly those that empower female physicians, and serves on the Events Committee and the Residents, Fellows, and Young Physicians Committee in the Women's Dermatologic Society.

A Philadelphia native, Dr. Albornoz graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Cognitive Neuroscience. He received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University where he was the recipient of multiple scholarships for academic excellence. Dr. Albornoz completed his residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, graduating with over 50 peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and poster presentations including co-authorship with the Nobel laureate Dr. Paul Greengard. <br><br> Dr. Albornoz practices medicine with a strong emphasis on preventative care, whether medical or cosmetic, and believes in empowering his patients with the knowledge to achieve their skincare goals. His memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, Philadelphia Dermatologic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Seana Covello, MD, FAAD

Seana Covello, MD, FAAD

There, she earned a double Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Art History. She then proceeded to graduate with honors from the School of Medicine at Hahnemann University, and three years later completed her residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University. After graduation she was invited to become a clinical instructor in the Department of Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University, as well as an assistant professor in the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Dermatology. Dr. Covello was awarded the Instructor of the Year in 2011 by the dermatology residents at the University of Pennsylvania. <br><br> While educating the future physicians of America, she practiced Dermatology in Philadelphia for 16 years before moving to the Main Line in 2013 to work in a private practice. She currently holds the status of diplomat for the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Covello has repeatedly been recognized as a top dermatologist by Philadelphia Weekly magazine and year-after-year has been named a “Main Line Top Doc” by Main Line Today.

Miller is a board-certified Dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Miller is a graduate of Penn State University and Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Following graduation, he completed his internship training at Crozer Chester Medical Center and his Dermatology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Miller completed his fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology under the expert guidance of Nathaniel Jellinek, MD at Dermatology Professionals, Inc. in Rhode Island. Dr. Miller is among only 1400 physicians in the country who are fellowship-trained in this field. <br><br> Dr. Miller’s fellowship training included Mohs micrographic surgery with an emphasis on surgical technique and reconstruction, the comprehensive management of skin cancers and extensive experience in the management of nail disease and nail surgery. He also specializes in laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

John Peters MD

John Peters, MD, FAAD

His primary focuses are skin cancer and reconstructive surgery, medical dermatology, and laser medicine. A native of Clarks Summit, PA, Dr. Peters earned his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.) from Jefferson Medical College where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters entered active duty in the United States Navy. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before reporting to Naval Air Station Pensacola where Dr. Peters then returned to postgraduate training and completed a residency in dermatology at Naval Medical Center San Diego where he served as Chief Resident. Following graduation, he was assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where he served as Chairman of the Department of Dermatology and Assistant Professor of Dermatology through the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He separated from the Navy in 2023 after 13 years of military service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He then completed a prestigious one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic & Laser Dermatologic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA where he was mentored by world-renowned faculty with appointments at Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Brown Medical Schools. Dr. Peters has been a speaker at national and international meetings and the author of over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters.

Her desire to find a challenging medically based career that directly impacted patients’ lives made becoming a PA the ideal professional option for her. <br><br> Rae began her career as a PA in 1999 in orthopedic surgery in Santa Rosa, CA. Drawn to the complex challenges of dermatology, and the opportunity to build long-lasting connections with her patients, Rae started her dermatology career in 2005. <br><br> In her role as a PA, she performs physical exams, establishes diagnoses, orders and evaluates labs and other studies, performs skin biopsies and surgeries, initiates and manages treatment plans, and prescribes medication. <br><br> Rae holds an undergraduate degree from Penn State University and earned a Masters of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University. She is a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and is certified by NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician’s Assistants). As a physician assistant (PA) Lynn enjoys getting to know and care for markedly diverse patients who require her expertise. She cannot imagine another career for which she would be better suited for. <br><br> Lynn graduated from Duke University with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and continued on to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine to attain her Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She had the opportunity to offer her skills as a medical volunteer in the emergency room of a rural hospital in St. Lucia between completing her two degrees. She spent the majority of her time there educating the local community on how to manage chronic illnesses in order to prevent emergencies. In turn, the experience allowed her to hone her problem solving skills. <br><br> To maintain a competitive edge in the demanding field of dermatology, Lynn regularly attends lectures and conferences. She is a passionate physician assistant (PA) who has half-a-decade of both medical and cosmetic dermatology experience under her belt. <br><br> Shannon completed her Master’s in PA studies at Arcadia University and immediately started her medical career at a top plastic surgery office where she performed countless injectable treatments in addition to skin cancer screenings and skin cancer surgeries. She travelled down south to the University of Georgia for college and finished her advanced degree back home at Drexel. She graduated the PA-C program in 2012 and spent 7 years in the Penn Emergency Department where she has performed thousands of procedures and had the opportunity to diagnose and treat many rare skin disorders. Lilly has always had a particular penchant for integrating an esthetic eye into the art of laceration repair and was congenially known as the “lac queen” during her stint at Penn. She also found the time to give back to her fellow PA-Cs by establishing the first internship program for PA students in the Penn ED. <br><br> She is an active member of the Pennsylvania Dermatology Physician Assistants, the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA), and is board certified by the Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCAP). She regularly attends educational conferences to stay up to date in the field. The science of skin has been her passion for even longer than that. Between her graduation from Saint Joseph’s University with a BS in Biology and attending PA school, she worked in a dermatology office - first as part of the administrative team and then as a medical assistant. This opportunity allowed her to appreciate the full patient experience in addition to supplying a foundation for her future career. Once she earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Drexel University in 2011, there was no question which specialty she would choose to work in. Theresa is an eternal student at heart. After graduating from her PA program with honors, and throughout her career, she has made continuing education a priority by attending seminars and conferences in the fields of medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She also completed the SDPA Diplomat Fellowship Program, which is an all-encompassing didactic training program for PAs working in the field of dermatology. She fulfilled her dream of becoming a business-owner shortly thereafter by opening Tres Belle Salon in Manayunk. <br><br> As a full-time working owner, Mary most enjoyed mastering her technical skills in waxing, nail care and facials. Despite her busy client load, she always made time to keep herself and her staff informed of the most up-to-date techniques and tools in the industry. <br><br> After more than two decades devoted to her salon, Mary decided to focus on her education by becoming a Certified Laser Technician, taking courses in micro-needling and mastering medical esthetic technique. She has also made time to attend multiple worldwide Aveda Esthetic conventions and to participate in fund raising for cancer research. <br><br> Mary joined Bryn Mawr Dermatology in early 2015 and hit the ground running. Bringing with her over three decades of experience, she has developed the esthetic menu and expanded the scope of cosmetic offerings at BMD.

She learned to love the precision and practicality of medical science, but ultimately knew that she wanted to pursue her dream career in the aesthetic field. Being a life-long lover of skin-health and the beauty industry she took the leap in 2020 by putting herself through the Aesthetics program at the Beauty Institute in Ambler, PA. She graduated as a Licensed Aesthetician and makeup artist with extensive knowledge about the most up-to-date cosmetic offerings and an intense appreciation for providing extraordinary customer service. <u></u><u></u> <br><br> Amanda is constantly creating opportunities for herself to add new devices and modalities to her repertoire, and has most recently become a Certified Laser Technician specializing in Laser Hair Reduction and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Therapy. This insatiable thirst for knowledge ensures that she stays at the forefront of her field.
