John Peters, MD, FAAD
Dr. John Peters is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. His primary focuses are skin cancer and reconstructive surgery, medical dermatology, and laser medicine.
A native of Clarks Summit, PA, Dr. Peters earned his Doctorate in Medicine (M.D.) from Jefferson Medical College where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. Upon graduation, Dr. Peters entered active duty in the United States Navy. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before reporting to Naval Air Station Pensacola where Dr. Peters then returned to postgraduate training and completed a residency in dermatology at Naval Medical Center San Diego where he served as Chief Resident. Following graduation, he was assigned to Naval Medical Center Portsmouth where he served as Chairman of the Department of Dermatology and Assistant Professor of Dermatology through the F. Edward Hébert School of Medicine at Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. He separated from the Navy in 2023 after 13 years of military service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
He then completed a prestigious one-year fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cosmetic & Laser Dermatologic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Boston, MA where he was mentored by world-renowned faculty with appointments at Harvard, Yale, Dartmouth, and Brown Medical Schools. Dr. Peters has been a speaker at national and international meetings and the author of over 20 peer-reviewed journal articles and textbook chapters.
Brett Miller, MD, FAAD
Dr. Brett B. Miller is a board-certified Dermatologist and a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. A Pennsylvania native, Dr. Miller is a graduate of Penn State University and Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Following graduation, he completed his internship training at Crozer Chester Medical Center and his Dermatology residency at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Miller completed his fellowship training in Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology under the expert guidance of Nathaniel Jellinek, MD at Dermatology Professionals, Inc. in Rhode Island. Dr. Miller is among only 1400 physicians in the country who are fellowship-trained in this field.
Dr. Miller’s fellowship training included Mohs micrographic surgery with an emphasis on surgical technique and reconstruction, the comprehensive management of skin cancers and extensive experience in the management of nail disease and nail surgery. He also specializes in laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.
Seana Covello, MD, FAAD
Dr. Covello is a board certified dermatologist who started her education at Fordham University – a top-ranked Catholic university in New York City. There, she earned a double Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Art History. She then proceeded to graduate with honors from the School of Medicine at Hahnemann University, and three years later completed her residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University. After graduation she was invited to become a clinical instructor in the Department of Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University, as well as an assistant professor in the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Dermatology. Dr. Covello was awarded the Instructor of the Year in 2011 by the dermatology residents at the University of Pennsylvania.
While educating the future physicians of America, she practiced Dermatology in Philadelphia for 16 years before moving to the Main Line in 2013 to work in a private practice. She currently holds the status of diplomat for the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Covello has repeatedly been recognized as a top dermatologist by Philadelphia Weekly magazine and year-after-year has been named a “Main Line Top Doc” by Main Line Today.
Lina Husienzad, MD, FAAD
Dr. Lina Husienzad is a New Jersey native who graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. Upon graduating medical school she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Lankenau Medical Center and her Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC).
While at UPMC she served as a leader of the Cosmetics Committee, and spearheaded a multitude of workshops for residents training in cosmetic procedures. She also participated in research projects during residency and wrote multiple chapters for a cutaneous lymphoma textbook, which she coauthored with the director of the Cutaneous Lymphoma Program at UPMC.
She thrives in leadership roles, particularly those that empower female physicians, and serves on the Events Committee and the Residents, Fellows, and Young Physicians Committee in the Women’s Dermatologic Society.
Christine Stanko, MD, FAAD
Christine Stanko, MD, FAAD, has been practicing dermatology in Bryn Mawr, PA since 2003 and founded Bryn Mawr Dermatology in 2005. She is dedicated to excellence in comprehensive dermatological care and her peers agree by consistently voting her “Main Line Top Doc” year after year.
Dr. Stanko specializes in laser therapy, cosmetic techniques and skin cancer surgery. She pursues the most advanced techniques and procedures, implementing the latest and most effective skin treatments for her patients. As a result she has treated thousands of loyal patients.
Dr. Stanko acquired her M.D. with High Distinction from the University of Nebraska, where she became a member of the National Medical Honor Society Alpha Omega Alpha. She served as Chief Resident in her last year of residency at Drexel University’s Department of Dermatology. She maintains an affiliation with Drexel University, volunteering to teach on their campus and regularly invites medical students and residents from Drexel—as well as other surrounding medical schools–to observe her work at our practice. Dr. Stanko is certified by the American Board of Dermatology and on staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Her memberships include: American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, Pennsylvania Academy of Dermatology, and Philadelphia Dermatologic Society.
Christian Albornoz, MD, FAAD
Dr. Christian Albornoz is a board-certified Dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. A Philadelphia native, Dr. Albornoz graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BS in Cognitive Neuroscience. He received his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University where he was the recipient of multiple scholarships for academic excellence. Dr. Albornoz completed his residency in Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, graduating with over 50 peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and poster presentations including co-authorship with the Nobel laureate Dr. Paul Greengard.
Dr. Albornoz practices medicine with a strong emphasis on preventative care, whether medical or cosmetic, and believes in empowering his patients with the knowledge to achieve their skincare goals. His memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, Philadelphia Dermatologic Society, Pennsylvania Medical Society, and is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.
