Rae Calamia chose to pursue a career as a physician assistant (PA) after several years of working for a medical device company. Her desire to find a challenging medically based career that directly impacted patients’ lives made becoming a PA the ideal professional option for her.

Rae loves spending time with family and celebrating holidays, and, only on occasion acknowledges she misses California’s weather. When she is not working or being a mom to her twin daughters, she enjoys hiking and listening to music. When she has the opportunity to travel, she prefers hiking through national parks. Her favorites include: Acadia, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Crater Lake, and Lassen Volcanic National Park. Before returning home to Pennsylvania, Rae lived in Cape Cod, San Francisco and the north San Francisco bay area. Rae currently lives in the Collegeville area with her husband and twin daughters.
