There isn’t much you need to do to prepare for your upcoming excision, but there are some things we think you should know:
With any procedure that breaches the skin barrier there is a chance that there will be bruising and/or swelling. This can last up to four weeks, so book your social appearances & family photos accordingly! We also suggest that you are extra careful about sun protection after a procedure. Healing skin has the potential to permanently discolor when exposed to UV.
If signs of infection occur (excessive redness, warmth, drainage swelling or increasing tenderness of the area) or if you have any questions, please call us at (610) 525-7800.
