Bryn Mawr Dermatology is pleased to welcome Katie Venesky, PA-C. Katie is an Physician’s Assistant who brings over a decade of experience to the Bryn Mawr team, and is currently accepting new patients in Bryn Mawr Dermatology’s Villanova and Collegeville locations.
Katie started her career as a physician assistant (PA) in 2009 after graduating with her Master’s in Physician Assistant studies from Marywood University. At Marywood she was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Lambda Graduate Professional Honor Society due to her exceptional academic record and stellar GPA. Her career goal was always to specialize in dermatology, and in 2013 she attained that goal and has been immersed in fine-tuning her knowledge and skills by working in private practice as a dermatology PA ever since.
She maintains her memberships with the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, Pennsylvania Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and completes essential continuing medical education every year to ensure that she intermingles cutting-edge science with her extensive hands-on experience.
Katie is passionate about dermatology and the entire patient experience. She loves to make her patients happy and confident in themselves, “I chose to work in Dermatology because it is a speciality where you can help people from the inside out. Improving someone’s skin health can do so much for their overall sense of well being, and knowing that I help patients reach their whole-health goals on an everyday basis is so rewarding.”
In addition to being intensely invested in her patient’s medical journeys, Katie and her husband Shawn are the dynamic parents to two exceptional little humans and three feisty rescue dogs. She is a Pennsylvania native that finds peace and balance in long-distance running. She loves pizza and smoothies; her favorite movie is “Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”
