To meet increasing demand and serve patients with even greater expediency, Bryn Mawr Dermatology is pleased to welcome Dr. Seana P. Covello, MD to the Bryn Mawr team. Dr. Covello is an expert in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, and is currently accepting new patients in Bryn Mawr Dermatology’s Villanova and Collegeville locations.
Dr. Covello earned her doctorate degree from the Hahnemann University School of Medicine and completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. From 2002 to 2012, Dr. Covello owned and operated her own solo private practice in Center City, Philadelphia before moving on to JKW Dermatology in Wayne, Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2021. Throughout this time, Dr. Covello also worked as an Assistant Professor at HUP Department of Dermatology for 15 years, where she supervised dermatology residents at Pennsylvania Hospital.
Dr. Covello is passionate about dermatology and patient experience. “The variety in our specialty is what initially drew me to it and is what keeps it fun,” says Dr. Rawls. “I’m happiest when I know I’ve made a patient comfortable. Especially if I know that they came into the office unsure or nervous. The medical experience can be intimidating, but it certainly doesn’t need to be. I try to use conversation and humor to achieve this. We’ve all been in the paper gown. It’s a universal ‘Ugh’.”
